The theme of this course is ‘Canada in the 1800s’.
Topics covered in SS 10 include:
- Events leading to the creation of Canada (1814-1867).
- The development of the Canadian West (18671896)
- Canadian Geography
In a few cases, there may be students who would benefit from a more individualized project-based approach.
Students who follow this learning strategy will develop a highly independent course plan in communication with the online teacher. Finally, with the permission of the instructor, selected students may complete a Book Project for course credit. Student evaluation will vary depending upon the selected approach.
