Marks and Transcripts FAQ

Q: I need an official transcript. How do I get this?

To order a transcript, visit:  https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/education-training/k-12/support/transcripts-and-certificates

Q: How do my final grades get onto my Ministry transcript?

If EBUS Academy is your school of record:
Your final grades should appear on your transcript within 10 business days of your teacher completing you out of the course.

If you are a cross enrolled student (you attend another school):
– Your mark will be entered into our system (MYED BC) within 10 business days of your teacher completing you out of the course. At this time, your school can access this mark, and your school is responsible for sending final marks to the Ministry of Education.

– If your school does not use MyEd (your counselor will know this) EBUS emails your mark on a spreadsheet to your school 4 times a year (November, February, April and June). Your school will then enter your mark into their system and send your marks directly to the Ministry of Education

– If you need your mark sent outside of this time, ask your school counselor to access your grade in the EBUS Counselor Portal at https://ebus.ca/counsellor-information/ and your counselor can send that.

Q: I need a final grade for an EBUS course urgently sent to a university or college, how can that happen?

Request a letter here and we will send a letter to you or an PSI that you indicate within 5 school days.

Q: I need an interim grade (50% of the course complete or more, but not a final grade) sent to a university or college, how can EBUS do that?

Each year, on the fourth Friday in April, EBUS sends interim grades for ALL grade 12 students to the Ministry of Education. You must have submitted and have received a mark, for at least 50% of a course by April 15th. You do not have to request this.

If you need this interim mark to show any time before April, or any time after April, and you have completed at least 50% of the course, email your teacher and ask them to ensure the interim mark is recorded into MYED BC.

At any other time, you can request a letter here and we will send a letter to you or a PSI that you indicate within 5 school days.

Q: I’ve met graduation requirements. When can I expect to get my diploma and final transcript?

Once the Ministry of Education has received final grades in the courses you need to meet graduation, it takes them 4-6 weeks to process and produce your diploma and final transcript.

These documents are mailed to EBUS. The principal will then sign the diploma and then we mail that to you. If you graduate in June, expect your transcript in early October. It is important we have your current mailing address on file, so if there are changes let us know.
