Family Studies 11
Have you ever wondered what challenges and issues other teens are going through in their lives; what your rights and responsibilities are as a teen; how to fit in with your peers; how other people view you; and what decisions to make about your future career? Family Studies 11 is about all that and more. Specifically, the course will provide an overview of topics related to adolescence, and to childhood development and parenting. Topics covered are the transition to adolescence, adolescent development and identity, and effective communication during adolescence. The course also covers the decision to parent, pregnancy and childbirth, infant and child care and development, and child wellness and safety.
