LANGUAGE ARTS: READING

READING EGGS (K-3 Reading/Literacy)
An elementary reading program for students in grades K-3 that uses carefully designed online reading games and activities to support early learning. Activities are easy to follow, self-paced and engaging for students. Parents can download activity sheets that correspond with lessons in the program and they can also access progress reports for their child. The program includes over 2000 online books for kids.
Reading Eggspress: Makes reading real books, improving spelling skills and building reading comprehension highly engaging for kids aged 7 to 13.

RAZ KIDS (K-7 Reading/Literacy)
Award winning Raz Kids delivers hundreds of interactive, leveled eBooks at 29 different reading levels suitable for students K – Gr. 7. Students can read on-the-go from their favorite mobile device. New books are added monthly. Choose from a wide variety of topics and genres including graphic novels, poetry, high interest non-fiction books, classic literature, leveled readers, decodable and predictable texts. Second language books are also available. Raz A-Z allows students to listen to stories and then record their own readings of the text for progress assessment. Comprehension quizzes are included for each story. Students earn stars to buy parts and accessories to customize their very own Avatar.

HEAR BUILDERS (K-7 Early Reading/Listening)
Hear Builders is an online program designed for students in grades K-7 to help build listening memory, comprehension, and early reading skills. The program focuses on the following areas: following directions (PreK – 3), Phonological Awareness (PreK –5), Auditory Memory (K-7) and Sequencing (K-6). Students learn through activities and games.

LEXIA CORE 5 READING (preK – Gr 5 Reading Support)
Lexia Core5 is an early reading support program for students in grades preK-5. Lexia supports students to make gains in their reading abilities through game-based activities and focused, personalized learning in the six areas of reading instruction. Students work on their skill gaps and can monitor their progress. Note that the program is designed to be used regularly in order to support learning and improvement.

LEXIA POWERUP LITERACY (Gr 6+ Reading Support)
PowerUp is a reading support program for students in grade 6 and above that supports students to become proficient and confident readers. PowerUP is for students who are reading below grade level, helping students close gaps in three literacy strands: word study, grammar and reading comprehension. Lexia PowerUp is a great streamlined approach to improving reading for older students. Note that the program is designed to be used regularly in order to support learning and improvement.

EBUS DIGITAL LIBRARY (preK –Gr 12 Digital Library)
The EBUS Online Follet Library allows student to check out digital books (including e-books, audio books, picture books and Lightbox series). Our library contains hundreds of books for students in grades K-12 and is continuously growing!

TYPING TOURNAMENT (K-9 Typing)
Typing tournament is an online typing program for students in grades K-9, teaching 10-finger typing skills. Students progress from their existing skill level and work towards using the entire keyboard and using the right fingers on the right keys. Typing tournament uses games, lessons and drills with a motivation medieval tournament theme to make learning fun!

FAME (Gr 4+ Virtual Art Lessons)
FAME is a platform developed by Vancouver Animation School where students can complete art lessons, submit their work to their EBUS teacher, share their work with others and keep an art portfolio throughout their years at EBUS. The art lessons are created by industry professionals and are of excellent quality – it is a chance for students to learn fundamental to advanced skills in art.

MANGO LANGUAGES (Gr K-12 Second Language Program)

A self-paced second language learning program that supports conversational language development through four components: vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and culture. Prepares learners for realistic conversations and strengthens everyday communication skills in over 70 languages. Students can choose from and access all languages from one account. Teachers can track time spent in the program and names of lessons only, so students will need to submit a combination of screenshots, supplementary written work, and audio/video clips to show the range of their learning in this subject.

ROSETTA STONE (Gr K-12 Second Language Program)
A structured and intensive second language learning program that offers a wide variety of rich content and instant speech feedback to guide pronunciation. Students can only access one language of their choice from their account. Teachers can track some progress, but students will still need to submit a combination of screenshots, supplementary written work, and audio/video clips to show the range of their learning in this subject.

Rosetta Stone is not a free subscription: students may purchase a subscription using their learning support funds.
