Important Information for 2019-2020 Graduation Assessments and Provincial Exams
Graduation Assessments (Numeracy 10 and Literacy 10 Assessments)
The previously scheduled April 2020 graduation assessment administration has been cancelled.
The Ministry is assessing a range of options to ensure this graduation requirement can be met by those students who are otherwise on track to graduate this year.
The only graduation assessment required for current Grade 12 students is the Grade 10 numeracy assessment. The Ministry is assessing a range of options to ensure this graduation requirement can be met by those students who are otherwise on track to graduate this year.
The Ministry of Education is also working with post-secondary institutions to ensure graduating students will transition successfully.
Students in grade 12 who are eligible to graduate this year but have not completed the numeracy 10 assessment, should contact their academic advisor Chris Mushumanski at EBUS Academy.
Students Completing English 12 or Communications 12 (Started Prior to June 30, 2019)
English 12 and Communications 12 Provincial Exams are only required for students who started these courses prior to June 30, 2019 and will be discontinued after June 2020.
Please note that students who started the new curriculum course, English Studies 12 after June 30, 2019 are not required to write a provincial exam. Additionally, adult students on the adult dogwood program are not required to write provincial exams.
Information on the administration of the June 2020 Provincial Exams will be updated as it becomes available.
