A message to EBUS Academy Parents
On March 17, the provincial government announced that face to face instruction in BC schools will be suspended indefinitely.
While students will not be in schools, the Minister of Education made it very clear that there is an expectation “that schools will implement a variety of measures to ensure continued learning for students.”
As School Districts around the province create their plans, they will be communicating this to their students and parents.
EBUS Academy will be closed for Spring Break from March 21 – April 5, 2020 . During this time all staff will not be available to answer the telephone or email messages and teachers will not be marking. Work submitted during the break will be marked upon return. Please note if a large volume of work is received during this time, turn-around times will be longer than normal.
Upon our return from Spring Break on April 6th, EBUS staff will continue to provide the same services.
In these extenuating times, our workplace will also be impacted by the rapidly unfolding events. As such, there may be changes to some of our processes, procedures and perhaps timelines. We will work hard to lessen the impact on student and families and ensure the continuity of your student’s learning.
We recognize there are and will be many questions and concerns in the coming weeks. As more information becomes available, we will be providing updates via our website and social media sites. You can click here Latest News to visit this area. You can also visit our School District 91 website for updates.
We hope that during our first week back from break, we will be able to provide a more comprehensive overview of how we will manage during this time.
We invite any questions that you have and ask that you submit via this form.
MOODLE will be down for service on March 23, 2020.
