Family Studies 12
The Family Studies 12 course is based on your experiences with friends, family members, peers, teachers, coworkers, bosses, acquaintances, and whoever else you may encounter during your lifetime. You will explore a variety of relationships, including work relationships, friendships, and the committed relationships, as well as examine how these relationships evolve or end. You will also examine effective forms of communication, mental/physical wellness, and safety.
Furthermore, you will look at just how different or similar your family is to other families in Canada. You will also look at the different challenges that families are faced with, in regards to financial, emotional, and social issues. You will examine the various family customs and traditions in different cultures. Finally, you will research careers associated with interpersonal and family relationships, and the family in society.
