Workplace Mathematics 11

NO TEXTBOOK REQUIRED. This is a self-paced course delivered via animated video series. This course is a part of the pathway designed to provide students with the mathematical understandings and critical-thinking skills identified for entry into the majority of trades and for direct entry into the work force. Topics covered include: Measurement – SI and Imperial; Geometry – right triangles, scale, perspective; Numbers – personal budgets, compound interest, financial services, credit options, numerical reasoning; Algebra – formula manipulation, slope, proportional reasoning and unit analysis.

Students will submit assigned work and will then complete online quizzes, if they have achieved a passing mark on submitted work. Teacher is available to assist students via phone or online during regular office hours. Parents are encouraged to check progress on the math website regularly or contact teacher directly via phone/email
